What types of clients do I have the greatest success with? My most successful clients are those who are open and willing to entertain “new perspectives” and try on “new ideas”. These clients are interested in unlocking their potential, discovering what is really most important to them and moving towards it. They are committed to improving themselves both personally and professionally. And they are willing to look towards themselves for the answers and to receive honest feedback along the way.

My first career as a Federal Fisheries Officer was spent working and travelling extensively throughout the Yukon and British Columbia. Travelling wild rivers in rafts, boats and helicopters, cresting 25 ft ocean waves and coming face to face with wolves, moose and grizzly bear totally satisfied the "adventure and awareness" side of my Core Personal Values. Eventually I became unsatisfied with the lack of opportunities for "creativity and influence", two other important core values.

This led me to a totally different interest, one in which I would be creative, have influence and have the opportunity to become more "bonded" with the people in my working life. In 1982 I joined a life insurance company and soon become interested in Financial Planning.

My quest to retain "clients for life", lead me to create a Financial "Life" Planning business. This was one of the first financial planning businesses in Canada to hold "Life" planning out as its core uniqueness and focus. Through our "Life Planning" processes, clients developed greater clarity around their Core Personal Values, discovered hidden possibilities and created powerful visions of life. Through improved relationships around money, clients gained a much greater sense of "personal control" around their financial destiny. I also watched clients make dramatic "shifts" in their perspective of life and take huge steps towards what they really wanted most. Those who participated in the "Life" planning processes noticed a significant increase in their overall level of personal and financial satisfaction.

In 2008 I successfully transitioned out of the Financial "Life" Planning business. This left me with time to reflect, consolidate my thoughts and become absolutely clear about what was most important to me going forward. I determined that I wanted to make my future life's work a "place of contribution", a place where I could make the greatest difference and a place that would fully honour my own Core Personal Values.

My life experience has lead me to develop professionally as a Life & Business Coach, bringing even greater energy towards supporting clients in "getting what they really want most in life". The result has been the creation of "Star Living" for clients who want to bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to be in less time.

Besides being a unique and contributing member of the human race, I have also chosen to engage in the life roles of husband of a beautiful, amazing woman, Mary, whom I have been married to for the past 31 years and the father of two beautiful, amazing daughters. We have lived on the Sunshine Coast and area for the past 31 years and we are currently residing in Sechelt, B.C.
