How Do I Coach

Coaching towards “personal and business freedom”…

I recognize that your life is not compartmentalized, but rather a continuum between your self, family, relationships, community, business and career. Your success and freedom in business, work and career is totally integrated with your success at knowing your own self, knowing your blind spots and living your life purpose. Because your life is fully integrated, you will only have "freedom" if you are "totally free" in all areas of your life.

Here are some strengths that I bring to the coaching partnership: natural ability to plan creatively and strategically, excellent organizational skills, being able to recognize and build on the strengths of the individual, ability to provide perspective, desire to be fully present and have the ability to listen "beyond" what is being said, willing and able to provide constructive feedback, making the connection between a person's passion and purpose in life.

Your life is yours: you have a uniqueness about you which I will seek to understand. And I will commit to be present, firm and patient in supporting the life you most desire.

I expect your best: I expect you to get "your heart in the game", to be fully committed and willing to move forward. I also expect you to create the "space" that you require to be your best and to participate at your highest level.

I expect to be kept informed: the very foundation of a coaching partnership is about trust and communication. Keeping the coach informed about changes that can impact your outcomes is necessary.

I provide an environment for discovery: through discovery you will have the opportunity to learn more about "who" you are and to clarify "what" you really want most in your life.

I share what I see: you will find that I am honest in providing feedback and support. Your willingness to explore new frameworks and perspectives of the world will be an important key to having successful outcomes.

I ask you what you need or want from me: coaching is client directed and you will be asked to clarify what results you are seeking from the coaching partnership, the more specific, the more likely you will have a desirable outcome.

I ask you to do more than you would do on your own: as you move forward, you will be asked to explore even greater possibilities for your life.

I don't "step over" much: when I hear something that doesn't "add up", perhaps a contradiction, perhaps a hesitation or lack of commitment, I will bring this to your attention, clarifying and challenging what I hear.
